CRAMMING NEVER WORKS

Even we have at times spoken out against the cramming and for a good reason. Much of what you learn at the time those last-minute marathon study sessions, you will quickly forget. Moreover, this does not mean there is no value to it at all. You will do better on your test than if you hadnot studied at all, and you will likely remember a few points that you study, even after the test.

I STUDY BETTER AT THE LAST MINUTE OR UNDER PRESSURE

People who believe this myth say that they can only concentrate on the class material when the pressure is on. The truth is that these people have simply never developed the discipline to study on a schedule rather than procrastinating.

This might even sound true; it not. There is a room for a day off every now again. Once again, it comes down to developing a good study schedule that you write out on paper and follow.

This idea comes from the fact that the test anxiety sometimes makes you forget the material that you even though you knew which you did not.

SOME PEOPLE DO BETTER ON TESTS IF THEY DON’T STUDY

This is somewhat related to the myth, in that it tries to make you think there might be a danger in studying. In truth, it is just a perfect excuse for those who are lazy and just don’t want to study. The truth is that in almost all the circumstances, people do better if they have studied for the test.
